I feel like time is slipping through my fingers. I'm sloppy, lazy, and unappreciative of the opportunities presented to me every day. Sometimes I almost wish I was native to a less priveliged country. Would I feel more alive if I were regularly fighting for my life? Would I feel more free if I was relieved of such a security blanketed land? If the materalistic obsessions were diluted of our society, due to a depression maybe we'd certainly value things differently. With the good nessecarily comes the bad. It's horribly inescapable. But that's just it, isn't? Everyone has to stop wishing for something different, no matter what the circumstances, and make the best of what they have. Easier said than done.

  1. I completely agree with what you said. By making the best of what you have, this allows you to save for the future. Things will come up and on occasions and you will need "rainy day" money.

  2. Wowww! This is a really good blog! No....it's great! I really agree with this blog! I think many Americans are very lazy at times too (MYSELF INCLUDED)!!! I wonder how the world would be as well if our technology and accessibilty to our necessities weren't as easy to get to! I really enjoyed reading your blog! It was deep and gave me something to think about!

  3. Your blog is very good! I like the way you wrote in a type of serious yet informative style. I agree with you 100% the more "civilized" we all become happiness tends to escape us. We all need to not be so worried about the nice things like you said and just be free. Isn't that what America is about?

  4. show up:) what you've had to say so far is enough to know you have more. just try to see it as a chance and not a job. and by "it" i mean all of it. lazy is never the sum total of our parts, but occasionally it is winning, and when it does it can be an eclipse. hold fast to the knowledge that there is and you are more. breathe carefully place one foot forward.

But we're in college so we're doing our part by being here.America gets more educated people that they can flaunt =).
